Configured specifically on Dreamhost's free non-profit tier to eliminate recurring server costs for the community.
Emphasized high contrast text, large typography, and simple navigation designed for an older demographic.
The Issue: The township organization operates strictly as a non-profit with zero budget allocated for web hosting or maintenance.
The Solution: I navigated the verification process for Dreamhost's free non-profit hosting program. Once secured, I deployed a lightweight WordPress instance that required minimal plugin updates, minimizing maintenance overhead while securing reliable uptime.
The Issue: The primary readers of the community obituaries and newsletters are seniors, many of whom struggle with modern, low-contrast, highly interactive web designs.
The Solution: I stripped out complex animations and strictly enforced AAA WCAG contrast ratios. The typography was explicitly designed to scale smoothly with browser zoom settings without breaking the layout.
